2020/08/12
This radio shape was popular in Japan in the 1930s and 1940s. It is called “midget type -shell type-“. The part that was difficult to make was the round and curved top plate. The problem was solved by cutting out layered plywood in a circle with a band saw. After colored with a pigment ink, a urethane clear coat was used as the top coat. The radio circuit is a Five-tube superheterodyne system. If you listen to oldies on this radio, you can go back in time as a boy.
