Bandsaw box project
-Pen storage box with sliding lid-

この作品では、スライド式の蓋を採用しています。Pegas（ペガス）製のスクロールバンドソーを使うと、蓋とそのスライド用溝を同時に切り出すことができます。これは、バンドソーボックスの製作において、引き出し本体と開口部を一度のカットで切り出す手法と同様の仕組みです。
このケースには35本以上のペンを収納可能です。表面にはブビンガ材のパネルを取り付け、シリカ系ガラス塗料で仕上げました。この塗料はオイル仕上げと同様に扱いやすく、美しく耐久性に優れたコーティング層を形成します。

I recently started making pen again, so I made a storage case first. This project utilizes a sliding lid. Using a Pegas scroll band saw, the sliding lid and its guide groove can be cut simultaneously. This is similar to how a band saw box allows for the simultaneous cutting of both the drawer and the opening. This case can hold more than 35 pens. A bubinga wood panel was attached to the surface. And then finished it with silica-based glass paint. This paint is as easy to use as an oil finish, and it creates a beautiful, highly durable coating.
